Don’t know if this is true of anywhere else but Preston has a serious problem. It is virtually impossible to walk through the city centre without being harassed by someone.
Be it the big issue sellers, the people handing out leaflets, market research, the people who want to know if you’ve been injured (i so want to trip up the next time i’m asked that), but worse of all are the beggars.
We’ve just walked past someone who not content with our first answer to “can you spare any change” actually thought the answer would be different were he to ask us again. Needless to say it wasn’t.
