Well one of my new years resolutions has been broken already. As you may recall I resolved that not one single household appliance would break down this year. 23 days into the year and it’s the TV again!!
We got a nice shiny new 32″ HDTV to replace the one that broke on Christmas Eve and it’s lasted under 3 weeks. So now we’re waiting for the nice people to call us back and come and repair the damn thing because dabs have discontinued the model and so can’t replace it!
I’m starting to think we have gremlins in the flat that come out at night and wreck all the electrical equipment we have. It’s getting beyond a joke now

It’s not often since having Stuart me and Yvonne get to have a night off. In fact since he was born we haven’t had a full night off though have had partial nights.
The last time we tried to have a night out was for Yvonne’s birthday which ended in disaster when the baby sitters parents wanted her to go home. It wouldn’t be so bad but I sold my ipod so I could take Yvonne out for her birthday. Can anything top that? You bet it can!
Tonight was the reception do for my Dad’s wedding. Having missed the wedding itself as it wasn’t in this country we get Yvonne’s sister to babysit. Not only is she an hour late but when we’ve been there for an hour and a half we start getting calls and texts off her telling us that she wants to go and if we don’t come back in half an hour she’ll leave Stuart on his own. Needless to say we have to rush back ruining yet another night out.
God help when she has kids if she’s prepared to abandon her nephew so she can meet some guy and probably take him back to her flat!
