Went to vision express today for my eye test and to get some new specs as my current pair have been rubbing my face off for the last few months. Vision express is of course the 1 hour optical lab…. well not any more. My glasses are due to be ready in…. wait for it…. THREE WEEKS!!

Now the cynic in me suggests that perhaps the only reason they are taking so long is because I opted for a frame free on the NHS, lenses that were also free on NHS and none of the optional coatings. But that couldn’t be the reason for the delay…… could it?

Fortunately, I plan to pop over to selectspecs.com and getting a pair with all the coatings for less than they wanted me to pay for scratch resistance. Job done!
